thought-action figures

Thought-action figures (TAFs) are to digitality what ideas were to literacy: an emerging mode of thinking and acting. Amidst the vitae contemplativa and activa there subsists the vita perfumativa. TAFs are not limited to human figures: animals, plants, machines, processes, materialities, ideal entities—all are becoming TAFfy, sticky networks formed by chance and necessity that gather and disperse events throughout the multiverse.

5 approaches to technology

tech as tool

Technology is something we hold in our hands. It helps us master the world.

tech as alien

Technology manipulates. It alienates us from an authentic relation to the world.

Tech as flow

Humans and technologies form feedback systems with the environment.

Tech as revelation

Technology is a mode of truth based in poesis and ekstasis.

Tech as Schizo

There is no off switch to technology. It turns us on and pushes our buttons.

Onto-historical TAFs
